JZJ Consulting was founded in April 2016 with purpose of providing engineering consulting and expert witness services in the field of LED and other light sources, as well the lighting applications. Dr. Jianzhong Jiao is the funder and the chief consultant.

Dr. Jiao is an internationally recognized expert for LEDs and lighting technologies. Dr. Jiao has worked as an engineer, engineering management, executive for major corporations of LEDs and lighting manufacturers, and an independent consultant in LED and lighting related fields for over thirty years. He has also served in the leadership positions in the industry including chairmanship in the standard committees in SAE, ASABE, IES, ANSI, and NEMA. He has been an Organizer and Chair for SAE World Congress Lighting Technology Conference, and a member of the Technical Panel of Strategies in Light (SIL).

Dr. Jiao also teaches seminars and short courses for SAE, SIL, and Light Fair International. Dr. Jiao holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University, a M.S. degree in Applied Physics from Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunications, and a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Beijing Polytechnic University. He is titled to 9 U.S. Patents and has over 50 technical papers and magazine articles, and has given numerous invited presentations to international events. Dr. Jiao is an SAE Follow, a Senior Member of SPIE, and has received multiple industry awards.
